Is anyone else having issues on The Community site today? This is the 2nd time I have tried to post about this issue. I get a new error message after trying to post a new thread:
The other issues include the Menu bar above the Banners is disappearing AND Topics on the boards are NOT populating the page. its hit or miss and there does not seem to be any pattern ...
While "the sky" isn't falling it is sure getting pretty cloudy .........................

Yes, the boards are very wonky today and very very slow going from board to board.
Every time I leave here and then come back I have to sign in again to the boards which is also very slow processing.

If everyone looks, there are posts missing from your history.

Ah yes, to day is maintenance day and so they are probably changing things or still working on them. With a new community leader, it wouldn't be surprising to have some minor tweaks and/or changes. There will probably be some bigger changes as a new and much larger group of sellers enter MP, too.

Also loving the fancy new fonts. Always good to learn a new language, or break what was already working, when looking for job security during a pandemic.

Hmmmm, with all due respect, it looks like these 3rd party programmers need a better' translator' program.

"... enter MP? ..." I think terms like "indoctrinated", "forced" etc are appropriate ... and I would love to see the REAL numbers on Sellers who simply leave or once they start selling and find out about the program they stop selling ... time will tell but my read on MP is that it will NOT promote growth in the US ... I think it has its place internationally but the age old phrase applies, if it ain't broke don't fix it. Since everything is negotiable they could have renegotiated a NEW deal with PayPal (who fronts our money by the way).
Anyway, just me blowing off some steam about the half baked NOT ready for Prime Time MP program that is "a work in progress" when they had HOW long to figure it out ahead of time? It is NOT Seller friendly and it is NOT streamlined ...

If I were one of them, I would be, politely-put, slighted that I wasn't promoted from within, having given my life to eBay well over 5 years.

Well, I sure hope some home boys buy my ballcaps... 'cause I opted out of international shipping, too. Hmmph!

Respectfully speaking, I think one of the main problems with MP is that a lot of people just plain resent it. How many, in the US alone, like to be told what to do and how to do it, not to mention when to do it? And, that doesn't even include the 'entitled'. ebay will 'do it', because of the gleam of all those $$$$ signs. Interest, stock shares and participation in Adyen, etc., and truly becoming 'global'.

So much of it was how it was presented, I recall the early Dale Carnegie "everything's right with the world" announcements about it and how streamlined it would be and how Sellers could expect to pay less processing fees (PayPal at 2.9% and the MP reality would up being 2.7% ... that is NOTHING for most Sellers) and then them NOT answering any questions on the back end accounting and it goes on and on. That's called "sales blather" and is seldom true. Its NOT the front line eBay Support Team (let me make THAT clear) but the management of the company that (to your point) is all about themselves and eBay's bottom line and NOT any Sellers' businesses pure and simple. They are NOT a bank and therefore should NOT be handling anybody's money, PERIOD.
Anyway, thanks for putting up with the vent .. although the most frustrating thing is that it ALL true ...
