Another board glitch - notification bell not notifying

The bell near top right that is supposed to turn red and show a number when a post you are following gets a helpful or gets another reply is now doing nothing.   Started earlier this evening.     Chrome, Win 8.

It is working fine for me using windows 10 edge I do not know about chrome as I do not use it much for community.

It just turned on using win 10 pc and edge as the browser

I meant chrome sorry I am used to using edge forgot I had switched. Working fine using both edge and chrome.

False alarm - now it is working but it is back to the previous glitch where when you click on it, it doesn't change to black and set the number to 0.

the open pages usually need to be refreshed before they will update. The main site is the same with notifications even if you have clicked or cleared out the notifications on 1 tab or page, all open pages and tabs will display the notification till refreshed. If you open new tabs or pages they will be updated.

Mine works as it should in Windows 10, Chrome, desktop version.
