Time and again I have made a post in the community forums only to have people comb through my eBay account and find things to critcise. I don't like this. I suppose I should make a posting id but why automatically link a users forum posts to their eBay transactions / listings for everyone to see.

Yes I saw your post on the April 25th weekly chat that you needed that information verified but a long time can be interrupted different by many.
Those new guidelines are dated 10/27/2016 and even after that date I believe the Mod's still took issue seeing the words Amazon, Etsy , Bonanza etc. for awhile until they got used to the way Alan ran these boards.
So my mention to pburn about how we used to not be able to say it didn't give a time or year it was an example of what used to be.
And with that I am done with this subject
I asked Doug a question about the ebay indicator on this post Alan gave me my answer.

I can only answer for my experience on the threads and I've used these words for years without issue.
And yes, I did come to the Weekly Chat for some clarification for others, not myself. I understood the rule as written. There was a recent thread on the subject that I participated on and there were several members that expressed real concern over this and were firm in their belief that I was incorrect. So I tagged that thread for one of the CSRs from the Weekly Chat and I went to the chat that week to verify for others that still had concerns. I was simply trying to make sure it was clear for all that read the postings.
I don't remember when it changed. I don't know if it was when the new guidelines were issued or before. I think it was before 2016, but I could be wrong. I never made a note of the date it changed.
