We have got to see this jacket.    Sounds like a one of a kind.   If they paid you should ship though.   maybe give ebay a call and ask to advise.   Best regards

If you go back thru the thread, OP does post a couple of times under their selling ID, from which you can of course search sold listings and as of this date can still see both jackets.

OP, google what events, festivals, concerts may have taken place within the time-frame the buyer had the jackets. Also search for photos/images.

You may find someone wearing those jackets.
Maybe.
This whole thing stinks of premeditation.
I am sorry for what you've gone through.

Update, and in need of advise

Shipped both the jacket to buyer at a loss of $300 to me for havinng 3 day delivery with signature and insurance to cover full cost.

Heres my dilema, almost a month later buyer has just contacted me stating they want to return as the items are too small, buyer then states the smell is unpleasent.  These are close to 50 years old and will not smell new, they smell old and anyone who would buy them should of known that.

Have i any chance of fighting this?  My other concern is the jackets may not even come back to me and some junk might?

No refund without return buyer pays shipping.

Maybe hope they dont bother and keep it?

If there is any damage deny the refund and explain why or if they sent you a different item?

They smell old?  What do you mean?  Musty? Moldy? of body odor? of moth balls?

What kind of return request did the buyer make?  Was it a formal eBay Return request?  or just a CONTACT SELLER type verbal request?   If the latter - you can point out per the listing, you don't accept returns.

If the former - an eBay return request - is it WRONG SIZE doesn't fit?  - you can decline that as it's a Buyer remorse type return.   Ditto if it's a Changed mind type request.  Her FIT complaint would fall under that category - a type you can decline.

But if the type of Return Request is for NOT AS DESCRIBED, misrepresented  due to her complaint that the odor is unpleasant - then you 'could' dispute that,  but you might be on shaky grounds since you pretty much acknowledge here that is 'smells old' and your pics of the interior of the Triumph jacket shows that it is really dirty inside, especially around the armpits and down the center back from the base of the neck - which indicates both dirty and sweaty - which would make that the kind of dirty that would put you at risk since used clothing is supposed to be cleaned - and even a vintage piece like this jacket - it could go either way whether eBay would say you should have had it professionally cleaned before listing/shipping it.

So what kind of return request did she make?
