I know this has been talked about a lot, but I need a little help. I love my turbo lister and am in a little panic that it will no longer be available.
I was wondering if anyone has used the seller hub to sell? If so, do you like it? I thought I might try it with an item to see how it goes, but when I went to try it, it kept saying I needed a UPC number. How can I have a numbeer on a used item?
Thanks for any help!

They are promising to have a replacement that will meet all the things people are asking for but I don't see how they can accomplish that by June.
Although you are not the first person I have read say this I also have seen an equal amount users say how easy it was and quicker as well.
Everything in business changes and you need to be patient enough the change with it or do something else.
If you are concerned about the release of the new listing tool then please spend a few minutes asking about it in the weekly chat. Demand an update to the announcement and demand they keep seller informed. This si going to be a very important part of eBay moving forward.
If I had to guess and this is only a guess - I would say they are going to delay the retirement of TL just like they did the required UPC aspect because they are basically tied together.

It does concern me that there hasn't been any updates to the Turbo Lister program in quite awhile. They added the Mobile thing to the listing process so you could quickly fix your listing to comply but are not adding it to Turbo Lister because it is being retired. How many more things will come along that don't get added until the program (TL) just becomes so far behind that it is no longer viable?
Also if they are still considering hosting all these listings "in the cloud" then I do have concerns over that. If one simple typo by a tech was able to take down the Amazon cloud hosting that impacted a whole bunch of websites (my local news TV station website was reduced to a single page) do we want to have to deal with that? Yes, stuff hosted on my computer could also crash but that will only impact me ... the cloud crashing could impact a whole bunch of stuff.
I guess time will tell.
I haven't updated TL for about 2 years, and it still works perfectly. I will probably move to wonderlister, as I have no desire to allow ebay to store whatever I want to keep offline. And I don't trust ebay to keep all of my listings since day 1, like I have on TL.
I don't trust them to not mine the data of items not listed(seasonal, etc.), and send the info off to china so they can counterfeit stuff even before we list it ourselves for the season or whatever reason.

I'm going to check out both Auction Wizard and WonderLister. Sixbit is out of the running for me.
I used AW several years ago for a bit, and remember liking it pretty well. WL will be all new. Only a 5-day trial with WL tho.....
I used to use TL for archive only, but gave it a whirl when I moved to a rural area and had to get crummy internet. Now I use it all the time. It's slow, but it plugs right along and handles the occasional signal burp well. Sattelite is coming down in price around here, but still crazy expensive with hard data caps to boot.
It'll probably come down to which one plays better with my stupid s-l-o-w upload speeds for photos.

If you ask them they will go to 15 days. Been there, done that. LOVE IT. Exactly like TL, same screens and everything. Very economical.

And it you go over what they consider your data 'allotment' for the day, you get punished for the next 24 hours with speeds approachng dialup ...

Is the Seller Hub going to be mandatory? I never used Turbo Lister and I don't think I would use the Seller Hub, either.
Thank you!

I don't recall ever seeing a date or even a date range for TL demise. It just said it would be June 2017.
They did give a date range. "June 2017" covers the date range from June 1, 2017 through June 30, 2017.

There was a post about it on the 2017SSU Discussion Boards

A blue did answer:
All,
In April we will have more to say about the timing of when the functionality will be available in Seller Hub. We continue to support Tl and we are committed to support it until the functionally is available in Seller Hub, nothing has changed. This may take longer than our original "spring 2017" timeline, so stay tuned.
Please note, it's in our best interest to ensure the capabilites you find valuable in TL are available in Seller Hub, we want the listings you have.
Seller Hub plug - I encourage anyone who hasn't looked at Seller Hub recenlty to give it a try though, it has some good features.
Thanks for selling on eBay!

It does make me wonder why sellers who rave about the Hub like it so much.

@goodluckselling They're promising the "functionality" of Turbo in the Hub but I very much doubt it. What I've read so far sounds like an extenson of File Exchange and it certainly won't allow us to list offline or store our listings on our own hard drive or transfer listings between IDs.

@lintbrush* I loved the slip in that post "we want the listings you have"....

That's good news. I don't list everyday, so longer will be better. TL still seems clunky in some ways, but I'm used to that now. LOL!
Finally got in a day on the thrift route, so many new finds to list. Yay!

There's 2 satellite companies available here, and they both demand autopay directly from a credit card or bank account. Bah. I actually want to see an invoice and pay the bill when I want. Data caps are just annoying. Plus, hubby can't play certain games with the grandkids.
DSL not available. Considering getting a phone w/ hotspot for back up and camping/day trips.
My current provider is cell based technology and is actually pretty good for the price. Peak evening hours and weekends stink sometimes. Upload speeds are horrible and burp regularly, which TL handles just fine. 3 Mbps download is a great day (night). I just ran a Speedtest for upload ---155 kbps. LOL!

If you can connect that hotspot at 4G LTE, then the speed will be very good. I use my phone as a hotspot at my cottage every weekend with 0 problems - and half of the day on a Saturday would be participating in life auctions, too. I have 3 phones, 10G shared with rollover, and never went over it.
I don't watch movies online with it, though - that's what VCR's and DVD's are for.

I am a small seller compared to some. We are retired and use this for extra money. I can only list when they have a free listing sale. When I started doing this they had several a month and we were doing well. My listings stayed on there for me to relist. Then the first time they went longer than 2 months (when they drop off of eBay) I had to retype all of my lsitings and it took me forever!! That's when I started using Turbo Lister to store my inventory. That way if they went longer than 2 months I didn't have to retype everything. Now I don't know what to do with the inventory after they stop letting us sync with TL. I can't afford to pay to store my listings. I like the old way of listing new things on eBay (I don't use TL for that) - only to keep my inventory. What will a good alternative be when TL is gone. The way I read it you can only keep inventory in Seller Hub if you pay for that level. Give me the old eBay. I wish listing were always free (they get my final value fee). And I wish they didn't drop my listings after 2 months so that I could just relist from them. We may be a little fish in the sea but it seems like they'd atleast get something from us if they'd go back to the old ways!! They're putting this little fish out the door! All that is going to deaf ears, though - so all I really need is a solution to keeping my inventory so I don't have to retype every time it drops off of eBay!
