what is with handling time

One day handling time items that sell today are saying ship by Sat Aug 2?

I just did 2 labels that had ship by Saturday for my 3 day handling time.   I ship same or next day but changed to 3 day handling to make up for USPS shortcomings.

I noticed one of mine was wrong also.    Could be they've all been wrong and I didn't notice

   the rest.    With one day handling I ship 5 days a week anyway so I ignore ebay's useless reminders for me to do the things I'm going to do anyway.

Keep in mind that when  you review your own listings, the ETA dates are based off of YOUR zip code.  So the shipping ETA is based on shipping from the same zip code that you are viewing the item with.  In a nutshell it will show you pretty fast ETAs because of this.

With that said, I think there is still a problem with the ETAs.  They do seem a bit fast even when I look at the OP's listings.  And we are NOT anywhere near each other.

I would encourage anyone noticing this issue to go to the question mark icon on the lower right side of the screen when you are viewing the listing or order.  Report the Technical issue as there is a way to do that from the "?" icon.

When I went to ship a package this morning I noticed the ship by date on mine was off by a day. I have it set for one day handling and it seemed to have an extra day added to it.

I noticed that ship by date is wrong too.  I read another thread where a seller went by that date, which was wrong, and they got a defect for late shipping.  Has anyone reported it?  I think I'll do that now.

That would be a different problem.  A more serious issue.  With that said, a seller should know what their handling time is and notice if the system was giving them the wrong information.

Now what you bring up is far more serious.  Can you give us a link to the thread you are talking about so we can all get more info on this please.

@mam98031 Let me try and find it because I think I just read it and didn't reply.  Not sure if it was today or yesterday.  I just reported it.  Yes, I agree that sellers should know their handling time.  I noticed mine was wrong, ignored it, and shipped it.

Are you referring to the date on your order details page, or are you referring to a message that appeared after purchasing shipping labels @bashort @yoursizeforless @evry1nositswindy @dirk12955 @toysaver 

There was a message appearing on the page after purchasing the shipping label and that message with funky dates can be ignored.

But if you're seeing wrong dates on your seller hub orders page, that's a new problem and should be reported using the ? icon on the lower right of the page.

'shipped one business day of cleared payment'...no one gets paid on the same day let alone a business day.

Cleared payment means in your 'available funds'

'Estimated window is August 2-August 7 on your items to me.

I went for 5 business days for shipping because anything can go wrong in our daily life...LOL

I don't need to compete with Amazon.

Not everything is about competing with Amazon.  I sell there too.  What is more popular there is not what is  popular in my items on Ebay for the most part.  IDK why, it just is.  I'm not competing with my self just because I sell on both sites either.

I randomly looked at one of your listings and it says estimated delivery Aug 2.

Weird, I just had the same thing. I put 3 day handling time (meaning business days) and I just made a sell it said to ship by Sunday. Did not know mail ran on Sunday. lol
