I want to list an item for auction that could possibly put my monthly sales total over my "new seller" limit for total dollars in sales. I've been sure to follow all ebay guidelines as I've learned them, so I don't want to mess anything up--as i understand it, my 3 month probation ends this month. The item has sold for inconsistent amounts, so it's hard to gauge where the final price could land (assuming it does sell), but naturally i want to get the best price i can (no, it's not an N95 mask or anything related to viruses). Will ebay avoid the sale if it took me over my limit? Will that count against me (and keep me on probation)? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

I do not have the answer. I can advise you that being a new seller can put you at risk with high dollar items. Scammers spend a lot of time looking for new targets and their favorites seem to be new sellers with high dollar items. You may want to rethink this and wait until you have a lot more sales under your belt. Good luck!

As long as you start it at a price under your selling limit, no problem.
