Re: views

I had one item that had no views but 1 watch how does that happen? I believe their new system is buggy at best. Hopefully they iron it out or use some bug killer to take care of this problem.  As long as they know the problem is there at some point they will fix it.

Re: views

As explained in several threads lately, it is COMPLETELY possible to have watchers with no views & has been for ages, well over a decade.  You can put something on your watch list without clicking into it, by clicking the heart or 'add to watchlist'.  I do it all the time.

The 0 views have also been explained a lot.  About 2 weeks ago, Ebay changed the way they are calculating views, by making it a rolling 30 day count instead of a lifetime of the listing count.  Therefore, there are now a lot more 0's & low numbers.   They also removed all bot views, which were 30% or so, of views, b/c those were never potential buyers, they were just bots.

Re: views

So ebay decided to change the views counter to user only related views on a rolling 30 day schedule, but why take away the sort views function? For those with many listings it makes the change useless.

Re: views

Views reset to ZERO every month now. Don't worry about views, only buyers count.

Re: views

Same problem regarding my store. Already I listed more than 250 items. But the impression count, Click-through rates & Sales conversion rate is somewhat low.

I have no idea.  I didn't even know that was an option.  It's not something I ever used.

Re: views

Not getting those either. I think for the first time in the many years I have been selling on here I am going to be owing them money to pay my store fees.

Re: views

The reason they all say the same thing is because they read from a script. If you need help, you are better off coming to the forum. The overseas customer service has been known to say whatever to get a caller off the line. Sometimes they give incorrect or conflicting information. The posters here are very knowledgeable, being fellow buyers and sellers like yourself.

As described, eBay has reset the view counts across the board and has removed the bot views from the tally, to give an actual snapshot of a listing's true traffic.

Re: views

This is not accurate. Views contribute to the algorithm and increase an item’s visibility.  Regardless of whether views come from a bot or a human, eBay has hurt sellers with this view change.

it doesn’t matter if it’s a “bot” or a human, this change has significantly hurt sellers.

Since the change applied to everyone........it should just lower the base line.............if what you say is accurate.  They could still be counting the bots since the announcement ONLY said the change affected view count.
