variations drop down menu gone now thumbnails

Just revised a variations listing where I have music cd's for sale. Checked it out after the revision and now the drop down menu is gone and there are thumbnails a user has to look through to find a particular cd. Not sure if I like this change as it's more hunting than getting straight to the item desired. Shouldn't text be king or is everything being designed for pretty pics on a phone nowadays?! I prefer my desktop setup over my phone any time of day and optimization and simplicity was once the gold standard of web design. Items that sold appear to be greyed out thumbnails.

I looked at your listing on my PC and tablet with edge and chrome they look normal to me

I can't find any with thumbnails.  I have no idea what everyone is talking about.  LOL

Every variations listing i look at (including my own) looks "normal" to me.

This is what the app looks like and im okay with that, it doesnt look like that on the computer

It may not have fully upgraded yet.  I actually found 2 listings of mine so far that WASNT " fixed" and they had the drop dowm, while the other 20 I checked had the thumbnails. On the app, 4 out of the 5 I looked at dont even HAVE a drop down menu meaning sellers cant even pick from them right now. 😫

Something is wacky.

This is what my drop down menu looks like now that eBay made this change. Movie title text is gone and now replaced by thumbnails as previously stated. I'm on PC using Firefox. Just makes no sense to me.

What browser are you using? I see a normal drop-down menu on that listing when I view it with Chrome, FireFox or Edge. I don't see any changes.

It's possible that eBay is testing different views to find out how buyers interact with the user interface. They have done this before. You can try logging out and closing your browser window, maybe shut the computer down. Then try logging on again. That might change the view.

Drop-down is there in Chrome. Thumbnails still in Firefox. Maybe I need to get in and clean out the cache? Thanks for checking on this for me!

I'm using Firefox on my PC and I see the thumbnails and I agree that it is horrible. 

On my ipad with Safari I still see the regular drop downs. I don't use the app.

@1evanescence my listings are fixed  and I now have pull down menus again. Did your listings go back too?

I've sold almost 20k sports cards in the last 12 months on eBay. If this is the new format my buyers have to deal with I'm pulling all of my stuff and taking it elsewhere. This does not work for sports cards or media. Period.
