unpaid items

when buyers do not pay we used to be able to file a claim and they supposedly got dinged. Now were to just cancel it ourselves and buyer gets no consequences???? eBay took away marks against the buyer so  seller's has no idea if the buyer  is trouble which I think stinks! Seems everything is for the buyers and the sellers  have to suck it up.

I have run into this problem a few times now and cannot event find anywhere to contact someone about the problem. I have even checked on one of the buyers who has bid my sell item way up. The address they provided was bogus as well as the phone number. I thought Ebay was supposed to verify the buyers when they created their account. The buyer who did this to me created his account on July 4th and has not contacted me or payed for the item. I went to cancel it but it is not showing the did not pay option. How long berfore that shows up? The sale ended on the 6th at 0709 pst.
