I have just opened an account and listed an items for sale. Received an email saying that my account was "temporarily restricted from selling and buying on eBay because of concerns about your seller account."
When I try to contact ebay it is only giving me the option to contact in US I'm UK based. Any body got any advice please?

My first advice is you need to go back to the UK eBay site, you are on the USA one currently.

What did you list? And price?

Did you link an approved checking account for managed payments and verify the micro-deposits?
Did you attach a payment method for seller fees that aren't taken from your payouts?

On the good side at least you are "temporarily restricted" and not permanently banned. If it pertains to this account you have only been on since 5 September. As others mentioned you did not include any information on what you tried to list for sale.
As others also mentioned you are in the U.K and this is mostly a U.S. forum. There are nuances to individual countries with regards to setting up a seller account on eBay and most of us are not familiar with those. You may want to post this question on the U.K, forum. With regards to contacting eBay the call in support is useless at the moment if you are going to try to contact customer support/service do so through the Facebook connection.

The instructions for setting up managed payments and seller fees in the UK is identical to the instructions in the US.

Thank you I was not sure. I assumed there were some differences when it came to the banking system and the U.K. tax reporting laws.

The difference is the UK requires eBay sellers have a business license before setting up an eBay selling account.
