I've never made a profit selling on ebay.  I use it like a garage sale. Plus I sell old things for which I have no receipts. Hence I have income but it shouldn't be reportable.

The income is reportable, just not necessarily taxable.

I think that is rather subjective.  You had an item you used for a few years then sold it.  Most used items do not fetch the same price as they would when they are new.  So if you sold it here, you got the funds you sold it for here plus the years you got to use the item.  Likely you made a little.
