@Anonymous For fixed price listings, eBay will automatically relist at the end of the listing cycle, so to keep that from happening just cancel the listing toward the end of 30 days. For auctions I think there's a deal where new sellers get 8 free relistings but you'll need to do the same if you don't want it to relist, just taken it down when it relists.

Since you are a returning seller, do you have your Managed Payments account set up yet?
You need to supply your SSN and checking account information. You may be asked for secondary identification, like a passport or driving license.
Without an MP account, eBay cannot transfer your customer's payment to your bank.
MP does accept ApplePay and GooglePay, as well as Paypal, but does not accept gift cards.
And any request for text messaging is a scam.

Fixed price listings are Good-Til-Canceled now. The only way to stop them from relisting is to manually end the listing.

I have had this happen. The item was sold and re listed then sold again and I don't have it and then ebay decides to make me below standard because I don't have the item that was re listed. Don't care. I figure that the customer looks at the feedback and decides to purchase from that or not.
The only problem is that below standard ebay has devised a way to charge more for the store and save themselves from paying the discount offered to top rated stores. If ebay would focus on getting traffic to ebay instead of all of the promotions, item specifics, and on and on that sellers need to do, ebay would make more money I would think...

@Anonymous, since you appear to be using auction-format listings, not fixed price, this should be helpful.
If you don't want your unsold auctions to relist automatically, there's a check box on the listing form for that. You need to make sure it is unchecked.

I can sympathize with you on this subject.. Ebay doesn't understand some ITEMS are seasonal. So Example a SLED gets relisted from winter months into spring & summer automatically. To me that is a waste of BOTH SELLERS & EBAYS time. I would love to control the GTC with a toggle switch asking RELIST or DO NOT RELIST.. It is a simple software UPDATE that they WILL not DO 😞 Ebay Bites sometimes... The geeks there are not sellers and have NO CLUE.
