You really should stop putting your Ebay ID in your titles.  It serves NO purpose at all.  It is a waste of the most valuable space you have.  Your title should be full of keywords that describe what you are selling and are words a buyer may choose to search by.

Why do you do it in the first place?  So we can better understand your way of thinking on this.

Have one to sell? Sell Now
Is, one of many reasons why search results are so messed up.
One person gets something wrong, everybody else copies the mistakes.

We take cars apart and sell the pieces.  Each car is assigned a unique stock number.
We used to put a stock number in the title for each item off of one vehicle.
It was easily searchable for us, and when the item sold, it helped on the back end of things here.  Just made it considerably easier/faster on the finding the correct item to ship.
Also, any time we wanted to see total sales on that vehicle, we could just search the stock number, switch to sold, and add up the list.
With item specifics, we no longer have to do use the title for the above.

Re: stealing header

Your reason makes sense, and as you say, with IS no need now (although you could also have used the custom label).

Just can't see a reason for the OP to do it though.

Re: stealing header

simple stops those who ride my coat tails selling the same item using my description and even my photo called lazy. I spent time researching what I sell to see a cut throat using my information selling it for a dollar less.   Been doing that for over 20 years now people use your entire post and ebay does nothing. The do not enforce the rules anymore on listings that is my way of identifying a legit listing from a clone or lazy seller.  You are not the one who doesn't understand

I didn't even bring up your "description" or your "photos", I was only speaking to your Title.

Ebay doesn't enforce the rules you are referring to because they no long exist and haven't for several years now.  Have you read the User Agreement in the last few years?  It has changed a lot.

I am sorry you are so upset, I understand it, but it isn't going to help and I don't think putting your ID in the title of  your listings help anything either.

Re: stealing header

I guessed it was some type of advertising, but it is pretty worthless for what you hope it accomplishes.  Looks like you sell well, though, without using those wasted keyword spaces.   I don't worry about titles being copied.  There are only so many ways to write a title, since it is usually just based on the details.  The order people include the words is up to them or they can use my order.  I didn't know there was a rule about titles.
