Did you mean:

bunch of stuff listed...

  • 1 item has 39 views
  • and the other has 1?
  • they were listed at the same time...

Is this "normal" for eBay?

@bigyellowdog2012.   Did you get my post about your Christmas tree pin? I posted on your second topic that was moved yesterday?

BTW- the title there gives a size but does not say it's Women's Size. If you did the same on the sneakers, you may be getting views that disappoint the customer.

In the body of the auction I describe these as unisex because I am just not sure!

I can see where that could cause concern.  A size 9 in women's is different than a size 9 in men's.  But I do understand your problem if it isn't stated on the label.

Why the second thread on the same issue?

But that has to go in the title.
Most people who identify as women look for women's sizes.

The cut of jeans is different for men and for women for example.

And men's and women's sizes in shoes are different.  You might be better to say Large or Small and give exact dimensions in the Description.

But then, I sell stamps, not clothing.

It was a sold item - the dog jacket.  Having the jacket and Princess was a great idea.

I was trying to get a feel for which type of your offerings sold which is why I was checking the solds.

@bigyellowdog2012  UK 7 is US 9 for women.  The Shoreditch lace-up is a women's boot but I've never seen that Chelsea style.

Even unisex shoes have different sizing for mens and womens. Measure the inside length of the shoe and use google to look up whether that length matches mens or womens in the size you have. Even holding the sole against your own shoe might give you an idea. Look up the model shoe on google or the manufacturer's site to see if it comes specifically in mens, womens or unisex.

Listing a size without gender and calling it unisex doesn't tell buyers anything they need to know about the size.

The clothing category requires a lot of upfront legwork, especially when selling items you sourced at a thrift where you don't know the details.

I know....in the auction --I advise to measure the 12 inches toe to heel against a pair of shoes and see if it will work.

It isn't an auction.  It is a Fixed Price listing AKA BIN or GTC listing.  Auctions are a different.

Just because you told the buyer do measure doesn't mean they will. Listing it as unisex when it's not will only hurt you in search and sell through. Technically listing it as unisex when it's not is also against eBay policy so you're putting your account at risk if an overzealous competitor or a frustrated buyer decides to report it.

You've been asking for help with a lack of sales on multiple discussion threads.  I  and others are genuinely trying to help- there's no need to get defensive. We know you're posting because you (seem to, at least) want to learn. If explaining what could use a little improvement, why that's the case, and how to make those changes isn't helping you- then what is it you're looking for? How can we help in a way that we're not already?
