I sold a pair of gucci sneakers, as you see on photos - they are distressed, it is the design, sneakers looks aged and dirty. But ebay authenticators rejected them with only a short statement: sneakers are used.
Looks like authenticators were just lasy to get more info about sneakers and didn't realise that it supposed to look like that.
I called ebay, asking for more details, what exactly was wrong with item. they have no additional info, they cant get in contact with authenticator to get that info, they cant help me, they just dont care. And I can't appeal their decision.
I already had several issues with that authenticity program, they never provide any details, never trying to help you.
So does anyone have some advise, what I can do? does it make sense to go court? since i cant appeal their decision through ebay platform...

The authentication process on ebay as a whole has a lot of flaws. Many complaints concerning. Sorry for your situation. There are other fashion sites you could sell these on. Just a suggestion. Hang in there.
Have a great day.

Going to court? Don't be silly. You can NOT sue Ebay. You agreed to that when you joined ebay. The program does have it's flaws from reading other posts. Did you get the sneakers back? Then sell them elsewhere. A quick question, are those sneakers new or are the soles distressed too to make them look old. I can't believe anyone would pay a dime for those much less the bucks that you got for them originally. Goodluck on your sale of this item elsewhere. Be grateful that you got your own sneakers back. Some folks got something totally different in the mail from the authenticators!

They are distressed, yes, however yours appear used to my (non-expert) eyes because the soles are so dirty. Other listings for these same sneakers have the distressed look with clean soles.
Examples: 284332126554, 284332126554

You get your sneakers back. Buyer gets his money back. What is there "to go court" over?
Accept that the authentication program eBay uses is flawed, or sell your designer stuff elsewhere.

You're right.
Not that I ever understood buying brand-new laddered tights, ripped jeans, torn tee-shirts, raggedy shorts, dirty-looking shoes. Of course, I also never bought "designer" stuff with the name prominent. Let Gucci and all the rest buy their own billboard ads, not make me pay for privilege of being one.

No where in your title or description did you state these are distressed shoes. Multiple problems at the authentication process center with these distressed sneakers, yours and other brands.
They photograph poorly, look filthy and IMO the designers drop the ball on these.
Sorry, you'll have to list them elsewhere.

They can still list them here. They didn't fail for being in-authentic, only the condition was in question since they were listed as new and AG said they're used. So if OP lists here they should (1) describe the distressed design and (2) change condition from new to preowned and spell out any flaws (dirt on soles).
My guess, if they are new to the OP, is maybe they were a store return - someone wore once or twice, maybe just around the house, got them dirty. Didn't like or didn't fit right, so they returned to store and OP bought from the store not realizing the dirt was wear because of the distressed look and size stickers still affixed.

Thanks everyone for replies, I checked on multiple websites and it differs. On some of them soles of sneakers are just a bit dirty and on other soles looks exactly like mines. That could be the issue. Unfortunately coudn't find them on Gucci's store

Well, I think they're absolutely kickin'... but I could never afford those kicks. My 'billboards' are Vans. 🤣

The Grunge or Dirty look. 😶

Yes of course your correct, OP can still list them. I bet someone did try them on in a store I can't imagine that Gucci would design something like that.

Your " billboard " 😆 🤣 don't you wear cowboy boots?

They're on that bandwagon with their dirty sneakers.
You should see the 'destroyed' sneakers Belanciaga has - $1850 for something we peasants wear out of necessity.

Now... cowboy boots are totally different creatures. I'd hate to say what I've paid for a couple pair of Ole Gringos, but they don't scream 'billboard'. They can stitch the look without including the brand name... but you know 'em, for sure!
