I have no space or very very minimal space--
Can I put in my listing that I only list for 7 days then item will be donated to the thrift shop?

Unlike others here, I'm not convinced people won't read it. But it really is akin to those FB posts that dare us not to share this or that adorable or sad photo. No one likes to feel guilted or bullied into doing something.

First, I wouldn't offer something for only 7 days and then pull it for good - a lot of items need to find their buyer. But if you wanted to advertise that it's a available only for a limited time, I would simply put that: "Offered here on a limited time basis" then describe the item. I would not state a time frame or say anything about re-donation, but you could use 7 day auction with BIN - that gives the 7-day end-date.

its not junk out of the gate.
I do my research on here with advanced sold items and see what others have sold.
I try and sell in that ballpark.
The problem is not junk out of the gate----is no views.
If it does not sell within 7 day you will donate to the thrift shop for "0" profit.
if that is the case you do not need to be in the "ballpark". You can list/sell at a "very buyer attractive" price. If your profit after no sale in 7 days is "0", selling below "ballpark" is win/win.

thanks thats helpful but my community does not allow anything in the yard or driveway other than a licensed vehicle.
I guess the days are gone where you get bids in the first 7 days?
I'm literally getting 5-10 views...
I'm not selling junk.
just very low views.
How are the "impressions"? Impressions let you know the the page that your item is on is being seen.
If the page is not being "seen" in search then the views (click ons) are going to be low.
If the impressions are up then you need to make it more attractive to get the views/buys.

II thought I said that, sorry I must not have communicated that well.
A 7 day auction if they work in the category you sell in and if you want, with a BIN price or Offers Accepted.

actually you have put me in mind of an idea!!
I might be able to find some space in a van that is parked in my driveway--
thank you for that!!
I don't want to make a long story but I have to take on a renter...hence my 2 bedroom place will no longer have that second room for storage....but the van the renter is going to park in my driveway.......🤔

what are impressions?
where do you find that?
You register an "impression" each time the page that your listing is shown on is opened by someone searching. Lets you know that it is at least showing up in search.
In the "sellers hub" when you hover on "Performance" the choice for impressions can be seen.
Then when you click on it the impression by date are seen.
Below the chart, under "Listings" will be an item by item count of the impressions.

There are far too many people who think there is only one way to do something in life.
I would suggest what you are considering in reverse. I often revise my listings 2-3 days prior to donating. Buyers have told me they were watching an item and were appreciative I gave them the opportunity to purchase. I let my potential buyers into my headspace about an item. Last I checked, you are still in charge of your listings and setting a standard isn't bullying. OMG.
My personal situation: 2 10,000 square-foot homes to downsize because I left my husband. I don't have the space to keep it all anymore. I have gigantic storage units to eventually stop paying for. I also live further from POs and closer to donation centers now. If I reach a point where donating becomes more plausible it makes SENSE to offer the item one last time.
I'm not sure if it's "negative" or smart. Who cares. I do it and am still here. Go figure.

Frankly, I would find that a little tacky if I were a buyer reading your listing.

I looked up the sellers hub and I am guessing that you have to pay money to use it?
*Selling Manager Pro functionality is only available within Seller Hub to eBay Premium or Anchor Stores subscribers and sellers with an active Selling Manager Pro subscription.

Selling Manager Pro is as it says, an extra that is available with those "paid" stores.
"Seller Hub" is just a different view than the "my eBay all selling".
Seller Hub allows you to view lots of stuff. I fought using it for a long time preferring the "all selling" view where my selling, sold, unsold, drafts were all on one page, and only required a bit of scrolling up and down.
The "Seller Hub" shows a lot of info on one page, but to see a specific section details it opens in a new page. Lots of new pages with back and forth, but so much more is available in the "hub". I have given in to using it, and now rather like it.
I do many "multiple, same item available" listings with the "out of stock" OOS enabled. This allows the listing to stay live without ending it, but unseen in search until I replenish stock. I can still end it if I don't restock before the GTC relists it. I can see that I have "0" in the hub. In "all selling" I can not see that. Just looks "active".
You can "customize" the hub page to view what you want.
It allows you to customize your active listings page to show the info that you want to see there, and the order that they show.
