shipping with FedEx

As an older seller, I am starting a shelter in place for myself tomorrow.  But one thing that I just thought of was to check to see how I was shipping any potential sales.  For FedEx I have to go to a drop off site which will be impossible to do now.  So, I've ended those items.  Just a reminder if any of you are in the same position.  Stay safe.

You also might consider increasing your handling time to help minimize your exposure. I think I might increase mine from 3 to 5 business days.

For the items you sell, you should be shipping US Postal Service; you can get labels right here on ebay, print out and tape onto boxes, boxes, envelopes etc.  that you can order (10 or 25 at a time per size) and have delivered to your home (Priority) for FREE. You can then have front porch pick up done daily (just go to usps website and request pickup).

Walgreens was great for drop off before this, now we go an extra mile to FedEx office to avoid the higher risk of coming in contact, usually very few people in a FedEx office.

We used to do the pick up and provided we called before midnight  they picked up 98%

of the time the next day.

Another seller, faced with shipping a thick package of wool skeins, decided to reduce the dimensions by using her vacuum sealer.
She said the package was hard as rock but was now thin enough to ship as a letter.
