selling

Hello  I'm a new member to this in the first place. Is there a starting price and limit for selling my products here? And is there a suitable time for that? thank you

Re: selling

Sri Lanka

You can start the price were ever you want, if it is with in your value limits.

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/listings/selling-limits?id=4107

And hold will happen on funds received also..

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/getting-paid/getting-paid-items-youve-sold/payments-hold?id=4816&&...

Before all of this you need to find out if your country has a legal way to get paid...

Re: selling

I don't believe as things stand you are allowed to sell as you may not have met your country's and eBay's seller requirements.

To find out how you can meet these requirements you must contact a qualified accountant who knows about your country's law and Bank that can tell you about Sri Lanka's central bank's requirements of those people or businesses that sell in overseas markets (Exporters).

Those who responds on this forum are members of public just like you and vast majority do not have any knowledge of Sri Lankan laws/ requirements and we in the west do not have to meet same or similar conditions.

Re: selling

Sri Lanka

I understand you folks want to sell and make money.

Your government has its laws and you must follow them.

some one out there sold you a how to sell on eBay, and you will have issues trying to do so.

Posting on the boards does not help your status.

Getting payed in your country has issues due to law. (not even sure payoneer is legal)

Good luck and try and find out your laws... Your country has some harsh punishments for violators...

Seek Legal advice...

Re: selling

If you plan on drop shipping from China don't do it.

eBay is already saturated with items being drop shipped and whatever it is you plan on selling I'm sure the items are already listed here from other sellers. If I bought your item and wanted to return it YOU would have to reimburse the buyer shipping to China, and the cheapest shipping back to China proving delivery costs over $50.  China can ship here cheap as all get out but to ship there with tracking is very expensive.  Are you sure you want to do that?

Re: selling

I do auctions that usually end on friday morning. 6-9  ebay time.  7 days  most of the time but a few itemd are  listed  for 3 or 10 days.  i usually have 500 to 1500 items scheduled  as far out as i can  and keep moving them down the road as well as adding new ones to the list.  I have cut back  to 50  to 100 items per week  from 100 to 400  to slow down . 95+ per cent of my auctions start at 1 cent. by ending auctions on friday we have  until monday  to ship them out lf we have  an issue,  we start  invoicing all of the items about 5 mlnutes after the last item eds friday morning.  we usually start packing by 10 am  and  take the items to the post office 2 to 3 times per day  on friday by 3  pm   and by 9:45 am on sat. morning  because the post office closes a few minutes after that time. we have sold items up to about  $9,000   we do make mistakes from time to time and do not send emails when you are  angry.     ( i have )

Re: selling

@rathnaweeraaracimeshaudayang_0

Are you referring to the starting price of items for sale or how much total you can list each month?

As you are in Sri Lanka, perhaps before you worry about pricing for items, it might be best to research if you can legally pursue e-commerce in Sri Lanka first?  This is a US forum, so we are not well versed in the Govt laws/constraints, but strongly suggest you research what those parameters are before investing in inventory and jumping into selling.  If you have no viable way to get paid, your selling career will end before it has a chance to begin.

Best wishes to you and continued patience for those of you in Sri Lanka who wish to sell.  Hopefully, soon, Payoneer parameters will be more clear also.  Good luck!
