I got a pair of leather tennis shoes at an estate sale. Didn't bring my readers... one shoe is a size 10 and the other is a size 8. I know that some people need only one shoe but not sure how to sell these. Suggestions?
TIA

I'd list them separately and be VERY clear in your listing description AND TITLE that there is only one shoe, and which foot it's for.

And photograph each shoe separately.
Don't put both shoes in the picture.

I smell problems. Don't list them on eBay. Sorry.

I think listing a single shoe here isn't a good idea. Even if someone buys it... will they be happy with it next to their own other one? With that being said, if you do list them... do it as advised above. Good luck.

There's definitely a market for one shoe - I actually know two people with one leg.
Put "amputee" and "single shoe" The size and left or right in the title, and photo only one shoe at a time.
My feeling about listing odd stuff here is that if we get scared away by the 1% or so who complain, we'll end up listing nothing.

Any item can be a problem if the buyer doesn’t understand what they are buying, but if they are nice,I’d probably try. There are many similar listings which clearly show one shoe only in the title and many also add amputee as a key word.

There are websites devoted to single shoes, and even Zappos has a single shoe category so, yeah I wouldn't bother unless they were nice or new due simply to competition.

Trash them and think of it as a valuable learning experience. You'll never let that happen again. I wouldn't even donate, whoever buys will likely not realize it as well. Take off the shoe laces, they might be useful later.

I see problems waiting to happen by listing those shoes of different sizes.
I wouldn’t list them here. But that’s just me.

Yes. I also know someone who buys single shoes. Completed Listings:

I am an amputee.
I wouldn't bother listing single shoes unless they are exceptional in some way.
Going to be very long tail one way or the other.

NO - donate them to an organization that deals with amputees. You'll even get a tax write off.

Thanks, that is what I thought I should do. Thought I'd best check first.

Although most amputees have a prothesis and wear two shoes.
When my husband, whose leg was amputated when he was eight, had to stop wearing his artificial leg for a week due to blistering, most of his friends and customers were startled that he was using crutches.
