I am about to list items and new to ebay selling. Heard that always better to keep number of listings less than number of sales and that gives more impression on seller account by ebay. If so what is the logic behind there.
Cheers..

Yes, I think I'd like to know the logic behind that, also?
If you are new to eBay selling, you will automatically have limitations as to how much you can list until you gain some feedback as a seller.
Congratulations and best wishes as you begin your new career!
ETA: Now that I've viewed your location, I feel compelled to add: Make sure you have a way to be paid for your sales. Have been given to understand that this involves your having to register as a business with your government.

Mathematically, how would one go about "keep number of listings less than number of sales"....?

Happy Tuesday!
Before you worry about selling, listings and navigating the site, it is imperative for you to research with your government the ability to legally participate in ecommerce/online selling. It is our understanding the current constraints prohibit same?
Please research your ability to access managed payments and be patient to await accessing Payoneer.
Good luck. Hopefully, there will be a solution for you soon! Stay safe!

I don't have any idea what this means, so I'll wait for further explanation before attempting a response.

"Heard that always better to keep number of listings less than number of sales"
Well, we hear a lot of things in life but in over forty years of all types of sales and owning several businesses I've never heard that limiting your offerings is good for any reason. Variety is the spice of life and even if you know that some 'offerings' are not deliverable to all people some people still like to think they are making a choice from a list rather than just show up to choose from one item.

Sri Lanka the question makes no sense I have no idea what you are asking or how to answer.

First you should list as many items as you can. Second you should sell as many items as you can. After that repeat First. There is no logic in what you say. Just list, sell, list, sell, list, sell until bedtime. When you wake up in the morning you need to ship, ship, ship. After that you list, sell, list, sell, list until bedtime.

It may be like this. Each listing may have some stocks. Ex. Product "M"- 100g packets X 4 and Product "N" - 50g packets X 5.If product "M" 3 packets and product "N" 4 packets are sold. Number of sales are 7 and number of listings are 2. That is how i got it . But the logic behind, to keep number of listing less than number of sales do not understand.
Thanks
