I think there have always been a lot of site issues and I remember many over the years, but 2019 was "over the top" for me, with too many (and major unwanted updates and changes in Q1 & Q2).
Knowledge is Power ... and I guess I Know More in 2019.

Yes, I'm very familiar with eBay, as I lived nearby their San Jose Headquarters and watched it being built. I've been an eBay member since 2010 and a very frequent Buyer and limited Seller (to help a family member due to a health issue).
Whatever flooded the Boards over the years, I wasn't reading, as I was happily buying for many years until 2019.
2019 is very different year, and the year I joined Community Boards. It's also the year that eBay has been flooded by Technical Issues, Glitches and Customer Concerns.
Hopefully the New Leadership Team will step-up to make eBay better.
Hopefully, but I wouldn't hold my breath. What little time I have been active on here, it went from an easy and fun experience, to a nightmare in a hurry. In that time, not only has eBay changed policy like a newborn in diapers, but their customer service team has hit the ranks of the Cincinnati Bengals (The Bengals might have a leg up on them because at least the Bengals try). Eventually things can't any worse. They can get worse then they are now, but eventually the death-spiral has to stop at some point. Hopefully.

Just an FYI: 2018 was so bad that eBay issued a formal apology for the technical errors. An eBay exec took public responsibility for the site errors and apologized to sellers in a mid-year video check-in.

I never saw that video. Hmmm ... maybe that's why I was invited to meet the Leadership Team in the Spring of 2018.
It would be nice if the Interim CEO posted a Banner Message here at Community Boards, just to say ... "Hello, I hope to come here often to listen to eBay's Customers, and learn how we can improve and make eBay better."

"Not the number to use" for what?
You know ... I clarified this for you in another thread.
I must have missed it. Could you link me to your clarification?
You should remember, as you replied back to me numerous times on the topic.
You can link back through your posting history ... I'm sure you'll find it.

Ummm...
Been around since 2004 - I am pretty active and I have NEVER seen so many glitches in such a short period of time or actually (as of late) - all at once - it's nuts. I have no idea why we have so many site issues - particularly in the last month or so...

What matters is that in real time Ebay sucks.
I think you have me confused with some other poster. I didn't say anything about how long anyone has been on the site. I never say stuff like that.

I agree. IMHO I think it is because of all the hard and fast little unannounced changes they are doing all over the site. My guess is because they think it will be beneficial to the holiday season. But in their desire to get all these changes up and running, not enough care was taken in how the cross affect other portions of the site. But just my observation, I have no clue if this is correct.

I understood what @rocklen60c7 was saying, was that they have been a member since 1996.

I was just going to reply to this and say that @mam98031 did not say anything about 1996...I looked all over and could not find a reference to 1996. Great sleuthing @greg5000 !

Except according to the ID they are posting with, they did not start with Ebay in 1996. Their account was set up in 1999 and their join the community here in 2006. But maybe they have another ID. IDK.
