sales have stopped getting unbearable

As a seller i believe the reason for no sales is not our fault it is not because of the algorithm as i have done everything necessary to eliminate the reasons ebay will give me for slow sales  , I believe the sales are down  because we as sellers are not able to lower our prices due to ebay keeps raising their prices on us sellers and our only way to combat that is to sell our items at a decent enough price to try and come out of this either on top by a few dollars or breaking even at best . i have spent to much time listing items for the past 12 years to end in a losing battle with this company i believe i need to find another platform to sell my items on as ebay might soon be a thing of the past .

"Oh, look - Horsemen. A bunch of them."

That's a good one, four of them to be exact.

You're right, there are just too many negative, outside variables to pin it on one factor.

Re: sales have stopped getting unbearable

No one has ever said that they keep on spending, even that their shop or store has got no sales for a long time. It's important to keep on spending, because if you STOP spending, and everyone does that, there will be a huge crisis or even famine. Remember that. Your sales will soon return.

Ebay just fails to realize that TV Advertising is essential to a successful business model.

ALL the other platforms are killing it with multiple commercials campaigns.

Yes....Sales have stopped!

I used to be sell 175 items a Week here...and 39 items a DAY sometimes to 1 customer!

Those days are Gone!!!

What happened to eBay?!

Re: sales have stopped getting unbearable

I get what you're saying.  Historically, summer months are a great time to add new inventory, and even better this time around due to economy issues.

That being said, over spending

and printing too much money is what helped arrive in the present situation we now find ourselves (economy as a whole).

Back to your point, I've been using my earnings to buy new inventory, selling the new inventory and yet again buying more inventory.  I'll just keep doing this cycle until the sky falls.  My hopes are to upgrade to an anchor store in a year or so.

"sales have stopped getting unbearable"

If sales have stopped getting unbearable, that means they were unbearable at one time but now they are bearable again.

Re: sales have stopped getting unbearable

Very true. Other sites are blowing ebay out of the water on advertising lately. I maybe have seen a ebay ad twice this month and it wasn't stellar attention  getting

 material.

Re: sales have stopped getting unbearable

Best of luck to you in your venture. I was doing the exact same model but truth is I am not selling enough now to make it viable to reinvest with no sales income. High shipping costs and ebay listing fees with also taking a percentage of the shipping. Customers are just turned off on the gouging is what I think is happening. People shop eBay for bargain's especially in a down economy but aren't finding them much here anymore so they're going elsewhere or not buying at all. I get ebay needs to make a buck to keep the lights on but until there is a realization that it's better to make something that it is to make nothing kicks in I don't see much improving.
