sale of multiple items

I just got 64 empty cd cases that have front and back art work present in them. how do I set it up so that people can buy the ones they want but not all of them? I have the page filled out but I haven't listed it yet.

Re: sale of multiple items

You'd have to list them in the "variations" format, which isn't available in every category.  You can't just set up a single listing that describes all 64 items and then offers the buyers a choice.

Re: sale of multiple items

Just my opinion.

You are asking for trouble.

I can see it now. People buying your cases with artwork and expecting a CD along with it.

"Where's my CD?"

Unless you have several duplicates I would list them separately.

If you have several duplicates I would list them with a "variations" listing.

JUST MAKE IT VERY CLEAR!!!!!

(like I am here)

THAT YOUR ITEM DOES NOT COME WITH A CD!!!!!

YOU ARE BUYING THE CASE AND ARTWORK ONLY!!!!!!

Re: sale of multiple items

You can do a variation listing, which is one of the options in the new listing tool. For every style of CD case, you set up a new variant. You can list how many of each style you have.

CD cases with CDs in them aren't highly profitable sellers right now.  I can't see how empty CD cases are worth the effort to sell but I wish you luck.

Re: sale of multiple items

My opinion that is 100 percent not worth the effort. Most CDs sell for $4.99 shipped OR LESS. You can't even ship the case media mail if there is no CD in it.

Checking completed listings it seems like the only empty cases that sell on their own are long boxes and the cases to special oversized box sets. Those are always in their own listing.

The rest don't sell at all or sell in huge lots for not much money.

I agree with @onefootflipper

Although the cases are worth something to somebody and it would be ashamed to just throw them out, i'm not sure it would be worth your time and effort selling them.

Re: sale of multiple items

List them all in a lot of 64.  If you are going to try to turn a few bucks off them, don't mess around.   All or recycle.

Re: sale of multiple items

Sounds like garage sale or flea market material to me -- maybe 10 cents each.

Not even worth listing.

Re: sale of multiple items

I might even add, since the cases themselves are notorious for breaking if you just look at them, let alone when they go through shipping, if you’re dead set on listing these, I’d list the artwork only.

But all of this might only be worth it for really rare, OOP releases.
