Has anyone had this happen? I have had several items sell only to find out that they had already sold months ago? How are they getting relisted? When relisting I always select "not relisted". TIA

Here they are commonly called "ghost" listings. ebay does it, though not likely intentionally. Its been going on for years, and I guess it still is. Watch your seller metrics/defects for out of stock issues that may occur as a result. You may have to call ebay to get any removed as a result of this. There is a good chance nobody at CS will know what you are talking about. Good luck.

@fabulousfindsforless2019, unfortunately "phantom relists" like the one you describe have been happening on the site for some time now. eBay knows about it, but obviously hasn't figured out what to do to stop it.
Another thing to watch out for is when you have a listing that has a quantity of more than one item for sale, if you use "Sell Similar" to relist your item, the listing will relist using the original quantity. So say you had a listing that offered a quantity of three identical items for sale and you sold one. New quantity available is now two. But, when you relist using "Sell Similar" the system will relist using the original quantity of three. You have to go in and manually adjust the quantity to the correct number or else you may inadvertently sell one you no longer have in stock.
Either way, about the only thing you can do to prevent such problems is to watch your inventory like a hawk and delete any listings that you've previously sold in order to make sure you don't sell a listing twice.

I think they're in the unsold form 60 days.

Hi @carlqsportscards, the examples I've reviewed have not indicated a site error but instead have been either due to one of the following:
That being said, I am absolutely happy to take a look at any examples and report an issue to our tech teams! Feel free to share item numbers with me so I can investigate!

This one doesn't seem to be the result any of the user errors you mention.
Has this one been figured out yet?

Hi @carlqsportscards, thanks so much for sharing the thread. It looks like brian@ebay has taken care of this one but either of us will be happy to review any other examples that you feel need our attention.
