Hi all,
I am a new seller with about ten items sold. In my business policies I did not realize that US territories were included in shipping to the US. I ship out of China and had to refund the order because I could not send the item to Puerto Rico. I have since adjusted my shipping policy, but I am now scared that my account is in jeopardy due to this error. Will this result in a defect, suspension, or ban?

Puerto Rico is considered part of the USA. Since you are offering Free Shipping, it doesn't cost any more to ship to Puerto Rico than it does to California or New York. Your dropshipper won't ship to Puerto Rico?

eBay has a page that explains how Seller Performance is measured:
https://www.ebay.com/help/policies/selling-policies/seller-performance-policy?id=4347
It will result in a defect, but a single defect by itself will not cause a suspension, ban, or loss of seller status.
However, we cannot see your seller dashboard so we have no idea how many defects you currently have.

I put “wrong address given.” I don’t know if I should of put that but none of the reasons really seemed to apply to why I needed to cancel.

Cancelling for "problem with buyer's address" will not result in a defect on your account.
Just to make sure, @luckythewinner, is that correct? Can you confirm there's no defect for "problem with buyer's address?" Thanks!

I'm not who you asked for but I can confirm that there is no defect for using problem with address with a cancellation. 🙂

I will only confirm that the OP should have recieved a defect, because it was a mistake in his listing not a problem with the buyer's address 🙂
