Did you mean:

receiving feedback

Hi, I was wondering if it's a trend that buyers don't send feedback. I have sold 18 items in the last couple of months and have not received a single feedback.  I have left positive feedback for every buyer.

thanks.

Re: receiving feedback

The leaving of feedback is voluntary and many buyers just don't leave it. 20 - 50% of your buyers will leave feedback.

Re: receiving feedback

I have bought about 5 items from a seller over a period of time.  I left feedback numerous times but have not on the last 2 purchases as it was never left for me.  It doesn't upset me, I just feel it is polite to leave good feedback.

As a seller i estimate my feedback received is about 25%.

Re: receiving feedback

Yes, it is a trend. Feedback is not as important to buyers as once it was. And eBay no longer uses feedback as a measure of seller performance, as they once did. Overall, it is falling among new users especially.

Re: receiving feedback

As for me, when I buy, I always leave feedback - and have no issues leaving it first.  If the seller does not return it, I make it a point not buy from them again.  As a seller, I always return feedback when given to me.  Although voluntary, and I understand that, in my opinion, it is a matter of mutual respect and I feel it closes the transaction.

Re: receiving feedback

I have never seen a seller disagree about how sellers will get the most positive feedback. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A seller will get the most positive feedback if the seller does everything in such a way that the buyer is not dissatisfied with anything the seller did or anything the seller did not do. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And, I have never seen a seller disagree about what causes more buyers to be dissatisfied. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- More of a seller's customers will be dissatisfied if the seller does the following: Does not give an accurate description of the item; Takes longer to ship than promised; Does not leave feedback until the seller thinks the buyer is satisfied; Does not do all of the things that eBay recommends in order to please the customer.

Re: receiving feedback

I don’t get it - did the seller promise feedback and not deliver? Are you buying items or feedback?

Re: receiving feedback

I do not understand your statement,it is obvious you do have issues with sellers not leaving feedback and it would appear that you do the same thing. If you are returning feedback then that must mean that you did not leave it when the buyer paid.I do not return buyers feedback,it is given after payment.

Yes. Feedback is optional and that "trend" has been reported by sellers here for at least a decade.
