re-list an item

When I'm re-list an item (an auctioned) that the buyer has not paid for (Case closed) is it possible to change it to a "good till cancelled"?

Is it a violation of any eBay policy?

Just edit the listing and change it to goods till canceled that is totally fine on ebay no policy violation. Make sure you set GTC to immediate payment required.
