I see that you use JAPAN POST for shipping. Does it offer a SCAN sheet? If not, is the postal clerk able to SCAN each package when you drop it off at the post office?

So both the tracking barcode upload and first scan at Post Office
need to be within 1 day?
Is that new?
As long as I uploaded the barcode within 1 day
it worked bofore.
What if the item sits at PO awaiting scan?
On busy day that could happen.

The Post office collect from me
and then they scan later.
The eBay error is "Uploaded on time but no carrier scan"
Yet the ebay tracking shows scan and delivery.
Can't be both!

So ebay should re-word
"Uploaded on time but no carrier scan"
to
"Uploaded on time but no carrier scan within 24 hours"

For the upload tracking metric, the validation scan can occur anytime, even the delivery scan would qualify. It does not have to be within your handling time frame.

+1, true as long as the package is delivered on-time. It's when the package is delivered after the estimated date that an upload & scan within 24 hours matters.

I thought that only came into play on the other shipping metric -- "Late Shipment Rate".
