"Reply With Offer" feature STILL has a gaping holes in its Offer History

Original post was in 2014. Six years and eBay still hasn't fix what seems so simple to understand.

Yes I know there are manual work arounds, but why won't eBay just patch the obvious hole?

"Reply With Offer" feature has a gaping holes in it Offer History or lack there of.

It is too bad that eBay released the “Reply With Offer” feature with such a huge gaping hole in it.

Once you “Reply With Offer” this is no confirmation message of any kind for the seller.  Basically, you as a seller have to keep your own knowledge database of all your “Reply With Offer” activities or you could end up looking foolish later.

Why? Why? Why eBay?  Is it that hard to have “Reply With Offer” put a message in the seller’s messages inbox, just like you do when a seller sends a Counteroffer?

I have brought this issue up months ago (now years) to Intel Customer Support.  I have submit improvement suggestions and still nothing.

I have had buyers send me messages a few days after I have “Reply With Offer” asking if the offer is still good.  I have to as the buyer if they can remind me what exactly I offered them because I have no record of it!  How can that be eBay, that as the seller “Reply With Offer” record of my offer?

Good point. Also, it's crazy to me that there is no record if a buyer purchased something through either Send Offer or Reply with Offer. For Send Offer, I have to resort to sending an offer with a uncommon cents, like .83 or .77 or something so that when the sale is made I can recognize it was sold through an offer. I don't do Reply with Offer often, but even so there should be a record.

I use Buy It Now with the Best Offer options. The key in this case to seeing every offer made is for to use the Make an Offer options at a very low price. Say you list the accept offer optiom at $1.00 Then you ebay will contact you for  every offer made over that $1.00. I do not want to see every offer made so I set my make offer option at 20% To 25% of my asking price. I am then notified by ebay of every offer above this amount.  You can also utilze this option then to determine what offers you will automatically accept without any action by you. Let's just say that you would take 10% less tha your asking price set accept offer at this dollar value. Sale is then done without in action by you.
