"Promotional Campaigns" or "US Campaigns?"

I'm trying to understand Promotional Campaigns. To start a promotion, it's offering me a choice between what appears to be older start dates like: "US Campaign July 12, 2021 15:58:58: Or just "US Campaign" 

Does anyone know what this means?

I can't find an answer on here anywhere. (Probably because it's so obvious that no one has asked ..)

The older one is the 1st Promo you did; so now future promo's can be under this 'campaign title'. Overall, it means absolutely nothing.

But I haven't done any campaigns on this item?

You must have one in progress for other items?

Yes I do. Seems strange though: Why would anyone want to choose a Campaign date that's already started? It's actually the default' choice.

Not sure.  Just start a new one - no problem with doing so.  Good luck!

It's asking you if you want to edit your existing Campaign that is already running or start a

new Campaign.
