I posted a bunch back in 2002 in a fun comic book section thread that was archived and locked (sadly, it was a great thread), yet my profile says "Community Member since 02-03-2009".
Does anyone know why this is and why the big discrepancy?

You registered with eBay in 2002, but didn't sign up to participate in the Community discussions until 2009,

Well, no I actually registered in 2001, posted to the forums in 2002, but the discussions say 2009, so was just wondering why the diff between 2002 and 2009 since I posted in 2002.
Unless I'm missing something and the "signing up" process didn't take place until after I posted in 2002.

Did you ever change the name of your user id? If so perhaps you had to re-register in the community?
Just guessing, one of my id's I no longer post with still shows I registered in the community in 2004.

In looking at those old posts, that was the only thread until you began posting again on various threads in 2018.
Perhaps once that thread was locked & archived the posts didn't count?
Or that some "group" posts don't count like regular board do?
I've seen this on other sites I have belonged to..
ETA I just checked other posters from the comic book thread and it's the same, some start 2004, 2006 etc.. So it isn't just you..

No, I've never changed it, ever. It's the age I was when I opened the account, though I've thought about doing it for years now.

There's even a member that posted in those threads that lists as member since 2010..
It looks like those old archived posts just aren't counting..

@pikabo-icu very possible...
Not a big deal I was just curious since I started reading the old posts from that thread and didn't realize it was THAT long ago.

The boards were handled by a different company than Lithium/Khoros before their current iteration. 2009 is probably the year you registered with the current set up.

That could very well be, that makes sense.
