Anybody else receive this message that wasn't even remotely near where the hurricane hit? We are in Massachusetts. How this management even approve sending this message to states that weren't even hit by the hurricane????

Ebay shoud protect ALL sellers What about the sellers who ship from California to the East coast. They will receive defects also. Everyone should have received this message.

My oroblem is having the items sold get there on time. I have received messages saying buyers have evacuated and place is flooded. Are we sellers who send to the struck areas going to be hit with maiing defects for not getting the items there on time and then eventually having cases filed for items lost in mail. Ebay has to protect both sides...

Thank you! Hello, I do that on Reddit all the time, I don't know why I didn't think of it here!
So, it's nice that they are doing this, but I don't get who they are sending it to and why. I understand people who are affected, but someone in Hawaii? I realize Hawaii had their own problems recently. At this point though why is this going to affect someone in MA or LA more than me in MN if they are not actually struck by the hurricaine?

Florence has plenty of wind and rain left. My city in MA got 5 inches of rain in 2 hours and had floods (and at least one rescue, see below) because the drainage system couldn't keep up. Some towns had 70 MPH winds, enough to knock trees down and take out electricity. Relative to NC, not a big deal, I know.

I don't understand why people have a problem with this message. Anybody can send a package that ships to or passes through one of the affected areas, so yes it's appropriate for people in Hawaii to receive the message.
Impacted sellers could be located anywhere depending on where their packages are traveling.
I appreciate the e-mail and the added step eBay is taking to contact buyers.
"Additionally, we will email any buyers who have made a purchase from sellers in the affected area to ask for their patience and inform them that their order might be delayed."

Not everyone got this message.
