"Finish setting up store..."

I have done everything except "upload a video".  My question is this.  Why?  WHY do I need a video on my store? 

I've seen this "Finish setting up your store to help improve conversion" on my "tasks" dashboard for a year now!  MAKE IT GO AWAY!?  I will not ever upload a video to my store!  I have no intentions on doing so.  Why must everyone be of this tik tok generation?   I don't need a video.  I don't know why I would need a video.  And I have no desire to make a video. 

Can we just make this "task" go away!?

I have been seeing the same on my screen for a while also. In time you learn to develop a "blind eye".  It is there but I no longer "see" it. That is infinitely better than fretting over it.

I'm not fretting over it.  I can ignore things too but every once in a while I ask myself, "How much longer is this going to be there?"  It's annoying.  It's persistent.  It's incredibly presumptive.

I ended up just making a 5 second video from my logo using some free online too (don't remember which one, sorry) just to make that 'finish setting up your store' go AWAY.

And you know what.  I haven't watched and won't watch anyone elses videos either.  I don't care that much about someones store to watch a video.

Uploading a video or doing any of those tasks are suggestions actions, not requirements and can be ignored .

If you so desire you can remove the entire Task Block. Click Custumize (located to the upper right side of the Seller Hub in Overview section. Then click the "X" in the task block to remove it. 

If you find later that you miss having the Task block go back to Customize check the Task box so it will show up in your Overview.
