This is in my suggested actions in the seller hub.  Can somebody who has done this post a link to their store so I can decide if I should do this?

It refers to the circled areas on your eBay store landing page.

Thank-you, Yours looks nice.  I couldn't figure out the billboard size of 1200 x 270... I see it's bigger than the thin strip at the top if you don't have one.

I suppose when you don't have a billboard image, instead of leaving a large blank space eBay shrinks it to a thin strip. You just need to upload an image in the 1200 x 270 dimension.

I'm thinking of changing it, but that's it for now. It's not a permanent thing, you can switch it out with things like Sales Announcements etc. :

If you look at my store, you can see my photo.  I just picked a random one to see how it looked and I realize the dimensions weren't  optimal.

Edit:  I just clicked on the door symbol beside my feedback, and oddly enough, it wouldn't work.  I had to pull up one of listings to look at the store.

I'm absolutely confused and clueless as to how to get a billboard/logo for the basic store I just signed up for.  I've searched with no luck.  I may have put the proverbial horse before the cart.  I'm beginning to feel like this old dog isn't learning any new tricks...just so frustrated.  Help??

Add your store logo and billboard
"Adding your logo and a billboard image can give your store a more professional finish. The billboard is displayed across the top of your storefront so make sure to choose an image that represents your brand and store.

Here's how to add or change your store logo or billboard:

Select the Store tab in Seller Hub.
Go to the Billboard or Logo section.
Select Add Image.
Your logo size should be 300 x 300 pixels and less than 12MB. Your billboard should be 1200 x 270 pixels and less than 12MB."

It's pretty easy to add the billboard or logo, but FIRST you have to create (or have someone create) the image you want to use. As noted, your logo should be 300p x 300p and your billboard 1200 x 270.

You can also get to the edit store area by clicking "Manage My Store" in the upper right of your store home page.

As I mentioned up above somewhere, I use Canva to create my billboards. Once you get the hang of it, it's pretty easy, and there are YouTube tutorials that can help (although some may be outdated). Of course, there are other programs you can use as well....

I create my own banners from photos I take when I see something interesting.  This one was a store display in London.  I then size them to fit.

For a long time my avatar was a magnolia, so I made the magnolia header on some random website where you can design your own banners, headers and stuff.   Maybe one day I'll change it, who knows.
