No cost that I know of. I have used it many times for listings where the city/manufacturer is not in their predefined list, I just wish they would add to that list.

No, adding a custom value to an eBay listing does not cost extra. It is included in the basic listing fee.
Adding custom values to an eBay listing, such as custom item specifics or additional details, generally does not incur extra fees beyond the standard listing fees. eBay charges fees based on the type of listing (e.g., auction or fixed price), the category, and optional listing upgrades like bold text, subtitles, or gallery plus.
Here's a breakdown of what might incur additional costs:
1. Listing Fees: The basic fee for creating a listing. This depends on your eBay store subscription level (if you have one) and the number of listings you have.
2. Final Value Fees: A percentage of the total sale price, including shipping.
3. Optional Listing Upgrades:
- Bold Listing: Makes your listing title stand out.
- Subtitle: Adds a secondary description under your title.
- Gallery Plus: Enlarges your listing photo when buyers hover over it.
4. Promoted Listings: You can pay an additional fee to promote your listing for higher visibility.
Adding custom item specifics (like brand, size, color, etc.) and detailed descriptions are part of the standard listing process and do not incur additional charges. These specifics can help improve the visibility and searchability of your items, but they are included in the basic listing fee.
