Looking in the forum, I see this is a long standing issue. Can someone at EBAY address the fact that SOLD items are still being listed for sale, long after the buyer has received them? Ebay even has the payment and tracking info to confirm this! If I "end listing," do I get credit on my account that it was sold? So many questions arise out of one glitch, that happens over and over.

You haven't provided enough information. Are these Good 'Til Canceled listings with an available quantity of 0?
If the answer is Yes then go to your Site Preferences and look at the first setting. Uncheck the box for "use the out of stock option". Manually end listings you don't need anymore.
If the answer is No then more details are needed.

I often have sold items relist especially on multivariation listings. I sometimes go in and delete teh listings manually or instead of relist, I copy everything over to a new listing form with a new item number.

A glitch?
On the flip side, I have noticed that things I deleted from my Watch List are reappearing there.

As another poster suggested, its possible that you have the out of stock option checked off so any gtc listings that you have will keep showing on your active list until you end them. Buyers can't see them...just you can.
