Re: problems with ebay customer service

eBay CS cannot help you.

Your account defects are what they are and cannot just be scrubbed away by calls to CS.

The policies are what they are and not ignored just because of personal inventory issues.

Sorry.

Re: problems with ebay customer service

There is no seller protection from acts of god.

Customer service cannot make up for the inconvenience to your unfortunate buyers.

The rules are readily available and sellers who do not bother to read the consequences of not following them lose money.

Your message about a problem you had in January, 2025, was intriguing.

Care to return and give details? That might help someone else not to make the same mistake.

Re: problems with ebay customer service

this is not a bussiness contract nothing was signed that means it just a web site to sell and list items for sale . no lawyer needed. not going to get in it but i have been in bussiness for 48 years we have use ebay to get rid of excess items . none of my steady suppliers have any nonesense like this. its easy pay your bill get service and parts. fine print is for lawyers not web sites to sell junk on

Re: problems with ebay customer service

This *is* a business contract - we agree to eBay's TOS when we sign up here to sell.

We're merely vendors on a managed marketplace.

You do agree to their terms each time you list an item.

Sometimes it pays to read the fine print, then you might not be in this situation.

@redcat114

I'm sorry you are having these serious issues with your account.  You absolutely need to be better acquainted with the Seller Rules.  We are ALL responsible for knowing them.  There is no reason you should have had issues for over 6 month with no reasonable explanation, when the information is ALL at your finger tips.

I find it easiest to do an internet search to find the Ebay policy I'm looking for.

I see you want to make this about Ebay failing you.  It was you that didn't learn about the rules as you were suppose to do.  Have you read the Terms and Conditions you agreed to in order to sell on this site?  It's a good place to start.

Have you been watching the Defects you have been getting on your Seller Dashboard?  That is something you should review a couple times a week to see if there is some issue coming your way.

How about reviewing your status on the Service Metrics?  Another place to watch regularly to see if you have a potential problem coming.

It is FAR better to be PROACTIVE instead of REACTIVE and it will cost you a whole lot less.
