Hello
today i had a problem i sold a lot of pokemon cards
the buyer sent a message saying that they were all fake that only two were real and I gave him back all the money and told him to keep the cards
I don't know anything about pokemon cards
I saw that many people sell fakes in e bay results, can you sell fake Pokémon cards? saying they are fake?
Tried calling e bay but it only answered an automated message
and it didn't help me at all
no customer service on the phone now?

Well your English has been better than most that speak it as a first language so no worries..
The note you use for your buyers, is that in your listing?
Or you send it with their order?
Thank you.

So sorry.....I remember so little Spanish and nothing considered conversational......Donde esta el bano? lol
Sorry, cristan....I know nothing about Pokemon cards or how to know if they are real or fake. If you gave your buyer back their money (dinero) - everything is good (bueno) correct (Si)?
Bueno Suerte! (and that is about all I remember!)

I returned the money and canceled a lot that I had for sale
I give you the link and tell me if you know of those letters if they are fakes or nothttps://www.ebay.com/itm/203492970760
I didn't read all of the replies, but I can tell you that it's nearly impossible to tell looking at some pictures online if the cards are fake or not. This can only be done in person using various means of authentication including a jewelers loupe and various lighting tests.
I can also tell you that fakes are becoming more and more present for older cards like Pokemon, Magic the Gathering etc as some of those cards are worth THOUSANDS of dollars EACH. I don't know much about Pokemon, but I think a 1st edition Charizard these days in great condition goes for $5-10k... and if you think that's insane, Magic the Gathering that came before Pokemon has some cards from first 3 sets that go for $2-10k each, and up! A Black Lotus from Beta edition in good condition can go for $20-25k USD!!! Nuts, I know... I recently sold 3 cards from some of the first expansion sets of Magic of $1,100 each - ones that were worth about $100-150 each 20 years ago. I only wish I had bought way more but I was a poor part-time working teen back then and it was hard to save up for them haha. 🙂

And I just wanted to add even though the company that makes Pokemon & Magic have tried to become more sophisticated recently by adding holograms and such, these cards are STILL being faked in China at a really good rate.
For example if you put the fakes inside a binder and with a plastic sleeve over each card it would be impossible to tell they are fakes. As stated above the only way to tell for SURE is with a jewelers loupe, lighting tests and certain 'bend' tests to see if the cardboard is the correct thickness, consistency. You can tell by the surface too. But it takes a trained eye, someone who REALLY knows what authentic cards look like to be certain.

Hello I noticed you stated that you were afraid to sell these Pokemon cards, despite your son confirming their real. If you still have them and interested in selling feel free to message me. I have no need to scam anyone
