If you have a link in a message about an item, you might be able to see some details. You can likely find the item, though no details, via Terapeak. If you bought the item I believe you can see items up to a year in my purchases in my eBay.

Item Numbers bring up Listings for only 90 days. [Occasionally, they linger around longer … but eBay typically removes listings after 90 days.]
It wasn’t clear what info you are looking for.

If this is a sale you made, it depends on what you are looking for. You can pull a transaction report by date range and get limited financial information that way. The order and item number and monetary stuff is in there, but you won't be able to get images or the description details etc. I know you can pull the report for a year at least.
If you mean bring up the listing, except the terapeak or email solution @glasser mentioned to get some information you won't be able to pull it up

^This. I've done it. It does take up to a few days to get the report but it will have all the information you need.

If it's an item you purchased, there is a " See orders from:" choice on the right side at the top of the order section of your my ebay page. You can set it to go back as far as two years. That will show your purchases going that far back.

If you know the item name, you can search your recent purchase history using the search field on the purchase history page, but that will not find seller usernames or item numbers, only words in the item title.
One possible way to search by item number or order number on a single page:
Open your Purchase History for the year, and navigate to the page representing the approximate date of the transaction. Use your browser's search feature (Control-F in most PC browsers) to search for the number. Change the page and repeat if not found on that individual page.
