I don't understand what your question, concern or if you are venting about something. Would you mind giving more information??

IDK, who said they did?
Keep in mind that you know what you are referring to, but the rest of us don't know the story behind your statement. So we are in the dark as to what you want to discuss.

Except for your vintage Egyptian frisbee, which shows $9.45 for priority with an estimated delivery of 8 days to my location.

Free Shipping just means the seller has included the cost of shipping in the price of the item.
If you are doing it differently, you should take a closer look at your actual costs and your margins.
A markup is not a profit.

If I'm buying multiples of an item, or more than one item from a seller, most of the time I get a better deal overall from sellers who do not offer "free" shipping.
That said, I shop total price. I don't care how the price and shipping are divided. If the overall price is what I want to pay, I'll buy it. I don't care if it's $25 w/"free" shipping, $20 w/$5 shipping or $15 w/$10 shipping. The cost to me is the same. When shopping online, shipping is part of the total price, so that's how I consider it.

i ship free and fast 2- 3 days
I charge for shipping that have a handling time of 3 days.
I think it is good that eBay allows sellers to set their own terms.
who dont like fast and free?
People who recognize that paying for shipping can sometimes result in a lower price. And people who buy in quantity, and find that free shipping may not result in any price reduction for combined shipping.

So, perhaps your potential buyer was doing you a favor, rather than being a doofus?
