I haven't even heard mention of "bonanza" in at least a few years. Are they really selling better than ebay now? That'd be funny, I guess news changes by the minute. I also hear the stock market is only slightly down.

Didn't bother to read on. This post could have been from 2005 too, so.

The stock market is going into correction territory, but honestly, I don't think there's a big correlation between the Market and consumer habits. My sales have been steady through thick and thin, but these days I'm listing whatever I have left from my last stint here when I quit selling toward the end of 2024, and a bunch of stuff from around the house, so all bets are off insofar as any sales goes. Once I finally get the rest of my inventory up and running again, it'll basically be semi-passive income until either everything is gone or I just get tired of it.

Re: no sales on ebay are we still up and running ?

I tend to agree with you juggernaut. My sales have slumped and stopped also. I  never did a good volume of business I was only selling maybe 4-5 things/month. I tend to think its the economy also and people are afraid to spend money. I do have to question why some things like clothing and shoes are not selling. It seems to me that in this rough economy, people would still want to buy clothes, for what ever reason- back to school, special occasions, Easter Sunday, Christmas parties, events, going out, vacations what ever. Clothes that are  - clean, good condition gently worn  and even never worn clothes and shoes to save money, stretch their budgets but still have something new.   Some people who list clothes are trying to clean out a closet, Maybe never worn the clothes or shoes  or had buyers remorse after they bought it in the store now want to sell it at a reduced price. so someone else could get some use out of.. Many on these forums say the clothing category is oversaturated- but good traditional non trendy style, dependable solid brand labels and well made is always in style. During these hard economic times, I think we should adopt the mentality people had back in World War II stretching their budgets and getting a big bang for their buck. Whose to know you bought it off eBay. I don't think people are very grounded, they are in a state of upheaval and confusion and need to get their footing.
