Its a USPS return that was mailed back to me on 3/11, On 3/20 it finally makes it to the closest USPS Regional facility to me, about 100 miles north of me, then it goes to another USPS facility 70 miles north of that and arrives on 3/21, the tracking on ebay says "visibly damaged" that is a new one to me. and if you go to USPS and check the tracking it does not say "visibly damaged"
This is on a return of a qty of 2 of a small item that the buyer claims are defective

If it's a refusal by the buyer the buyer can't do much...whether or not buyer states visible damage of a box or package.
The buyer might be seeing the same thing you are in tracking 'visible damaged' after it was refused.
Will have to wait to see what the label on the parcel states when you get it.
How can a buyer say it is 'defective'...is beyond me...maybebuyer has 'Superman eyes' where they can see through parcels.

Wrong Scan Possibly, it happens more often than you think.

This is the tracking for the RETURN, not the original shipping. The buyer has nothing to do with it.

True. However this ^ is eBay's tracking notes, not the USPS's. According to them, it is just "processing" at that facility. -But has been for 3 days which is troubling in its own right.
Looks like you got a real weird one @bashort !

I wouldn't sit and wait any longer because I don't know how long they've had it (total) but the label was created on the 11th and then there's no accepted scan but they definitely had it on the 15th and that's already 9 days ago.
I don't know how long eBay will give you before they do their "You should have received it by now" thing and force the refund, but considering it might take days to find out what's going on, you should probably get on the phone tomorrow, starting with your local P.O.
