negative feedback removal

What i am looking for is there another way to get this feedback removed or am i stuck with it. not going to stress over it but if i can get it tossed be great.

so i sold a wood plane, it was very old. the plane maker that made it was a officer in the revolutionary war. jo fuller. just one thing i know and anyone that sells wood primitives would know. now if you would be able to store it in a acclimated house entire life of the tool and it would not happen. this planes is well before electricity. people would have the wood shop and the tools would get hot cold and change in humidity with the weather, so its common to have a few stress cracks in a old solid wood tool.

that said i sold a wood plane and noted has stress cracks and i took pics of all of them. this buyer sent me a message telling me he would not of bid that high if he knew of the cracks. with a question mark.  i told him its in the listing and if you dont like it and want to return it not a problem and to send a pic. he messaged me said he wants to keep it but he only wants to pay 400 for it instead of what he bid on it. no pic either. it sold for just under 500.  i said sorry i dont do partial returns but more than willing to accept a return and full refund. so i get a message from him i tried to work with you i guess i got to deal with it. i was kind of curious what he meant buy that. sure enough 7 days on the dot later he wacked me with my first neg feedback.

also not the feedback is partially a lie. you all can read it. he mentions the crack not well pictured. but he also write i had not listed 3 repairs that were done to the plane and i made not effort to compensate him.

so this is where i am asking what to do, cause i have already called eBay twice the first person walked me thru how to request and then had me write something in the fist line that made no sense. it was 80 character limit. I wrote his sentence and figured i can write out a full few sentences about what happened after. then he said to send the guy a revision request did that. by the time i hung up the phone i already had a denial on the feedback. so i called back and talked to a lady and she went thru read the emails and said it qualified for removal and would expedite it  cause he wanted a partial, they had me report that and that he lied stating i did not make any attempt. when my messages are proof the rep said. so she said she would send it in manually and be able to explain it better. sure enough next day denied. should i try to call and call till i get it fixed or maybe its pointless. I am over it for the most part just annoyed a bit. would be nice to clear up if possible.

Re: negative feedback removal

I think your reply was appropriate and you made your point.  It’s obvious the buyer was just trying to force you to give him a partial refund.  I’d leave it at that and go have a dry martini on yourself 🍸

Re: negative feedback removal

Buyers are not allowed to demand partial refunds, nor hassle sellers over the price after the sale. This violates ebay's terms of service. Yes, you can get that negative removed. I would get on the phone with ebay and explain what happened and absolutely demand it be removed.

You need to report the buyer from the transaction too.

Re: negative feedback removal

...I don't know if calling customer service is getting problem solved...unless eBay improved their telephone service, you might consider contact eBay through Facebook or Twitter for better results...

...some other factors you should pay attention if that buyer file INAD and instead of returning your item, he sending something else...worse case scenario, he may file transaction dispute or credit card charge back, you could lose both your item and your money...

Re: negative feedback removal

I wouldn't worry about it, it will get buried by all the good feedback you're receiving.

Re: negative feedback removal

if he filed a credit card dispute he would be committing fraud as he talked to me about the situation and is aware that the sale happened and I have people doing that every other month and never have they held any money and you are covered under a eBay protection policy as well as with PayPal. it takes forever for them to close but they never hold any money.

Re: negative feedback removal

Thanks for that link, i already called eBay twice on the phone prior to posting this.  from some of these replies i feel like people are skim reading as i said i had talked to eBay and the rep told me that he was requesting partial refund and does not want to return the item just wants a partial. that's what qualified it for removal the lady on the phone told me.  she just submitted it and i got a response from eBay saying no they are not removing it.  i get you understand what i am saying as you sent the perfect piece I needed. i am just answering all questions in the this one post, no i there is no item not as described case he does not want to return it just wants to pay 400 dollars. its all over and done with i just have a negative feedback that i would like gone cause i feel worked over and punished because i did not give a partial.

thanks i am going to call eBay again tomorrow and try the Facebook reach out and send them the exact screenshot you sent me. also the line right below it asking for a discount.

I've been involved in some Feedback Extortion cases, the one issue I see when reading your OP is that the buyer never specifically stated "feedback" when they said "i tried to work with you i guess i got to deal with it".

While I get that the inference is pretty clear the fact it's not specifically stated will make feedback removal more difficult (but not impossible).

You might want to look at the feedback this buyer has left for other sellers to see if there is any sort of pattern which would be helpful when building your case for eBay customer service.

Re: negative feedback removal

no feedback extortion.  guy never threatened to leave negative feedback I think he means hes going to deal with the so called damage. he said i guess i got to deal with ''it'' not deal with me. but like i said in my post unsure what he means but, that is not threat or reason for feedback removal.  this all comes down to what the solution for this post is. he wanted a partial refund but did not want to return the item. that brakes eBay's rules and also what gets me is that he lied in the post said I made no effort to compensate him. when the first thing i did was offer a full refund upon return.

Re: negative feedback removal

yes i stated all that in the my original post, yes i have been on the phone as said I even stated that the eBay rep that sent in the request said that was the reason for it being able to qualify for the removal.  its just that after i hang up the phone its in eBay's hands the person on the phone dont remove it, that's another team and on both attempts I got denied. eunster1313 got the solution right on the money. he added the proof i need.

Re: negative feedback removal

I sold a basketball card and mailed it same day with tracking. Buyer claimed he didn't receive it and contacted ebay. Ebay contacted me and requested I provide the tracking number. Fortunately I keep these on file due to scammers. I provided the tracking number and forgot about it. I see a negative feedback on my feedback page now. I tried to have it removed but the reply came back from ebay that it doesn't hurt my seller status. My feedback dropped from 100% to 98.5% with a very bad feedack comment. What can I do? Is this something I have no control over? Very unfair and disappointing.

Re: negative feedback removal

Call ebay, or have them call you, keep trying to get it removed, they will eventually remove it. Tell ebay you live or are moving to hong kong or china to do busines, they will removed it the same hour..  I know a seller that gets negative feedback at least once or twice a week, he gets them all removed, in fact he has perfect feedback for over 14695 transactions where feedback was left, not one ever reported as negative or neutral. He gets them all removed.
