I don't sell in Parts and Accessories, but I've seen sellers complain about P&A search and fitment issues, so I'd guess if this acquisition means that ebay will fundamentally improve fitment and search for P&A, it should help with sales in that category.
As for the TGPlayer acquisition, well, I also don't sell Pokemon cards, etc....it's a little less clear what ebay is aiming for here, as they claim the site will remain as a stand alone marketplace. I assume ebay is likely to "borrow" some of their software and so forth to improve ebay's trading cards category, and I suppose its possible that ebay will find some way to mesh the two sites. If nothing else, it strengthens ebay (the corporation) in that niche.
Since I don't sell in either P&A or cards, it will have no direct impact on me. That's two acquisition announcements in a row, I wonder if there are more coming?
