my items only seem to sell when I buy listings from ebay
its really odd when weeks go by without a sale then I get 100 free listings use them up and pay for another 50 or 60 more then suddenly I get a handful of sales that week and the cycle repeats
remember what we see as sellers is not always what a buyer might see (use other sellers ads on your listings as an example) so it can be really hard to gauge
I wonder why ebay does that (hides site content from sellers)? There is proof of it so why wouldnt they do it with our buyers as well?

I have even searched my items up and they're no where to be found! I can't seem to sell anything either!!

I was anti Ebay for years and still had sales - I've come to understand why some of the changes have been made and accept them - but still speak my mind if things bother me. Whether you are pro Ebay or anti Ebay - your sales are not judged by your responses here.
The more listings you have up - the better the chance something will sell - but that's not always a guarantee.

There are somewhere between 25 million and 40 million sellers on eBay.
And more than 140 million items on offer on any given day.

When I respond negatively, or add to to comments like yours, my sales drop to 0 for a day or so. Go figure, 13 YEARS and counting.

I've been an active eBay member for over 19 years. For the last 15 years, my sales have far outweighed my purchases. I have noticed no connection at all between my buying activity and my selling activity. Zero.
I often go for months without buying anything on eBay. By your logic, I should have little or no sales during those long periods and short, sharp spikes when I do buy something. And yet, that has never been the case. If your theory had any basis in my experience, I would be living in a cardboard box under the freeway by now.

Thal, I think the OP was saying 'buy' listings insertions, not buy items = )
So you list more, you sell more. What's the mystery in that?

Like I said I dont have proof only proof that ebay hides listing data from sellers views. Especially the advertising. You wont see other sellers ads in your own listings unless you log in as a guest or other account like youre a buyer.
So why wouldnt they hide listings from buyers and give the ones who pay more consideration? They say it all the time they can do as they please and change the agreement at will with each seller update.
