When you list an item, you must pick a category.
Each category has a fixed list of values for the "Condition", and you choose the appropriate value for your item. Depending upon the category, you will may see "Like New", "New Other", "Used", "Preowned", etc. You are limited to the list of options that eBay provides for the category.
Be sure to read the description for the condition you choose, and make sure it does not conflict with your item. And always note any flaws or imperfections in your description.
Some categories also give you the option to describe the condition of the item. For instance, vinyl records gives the options of "New" and "Used" and then you a text box where you can describe the condition. There are also item specifics you can fill out to give the condition of the cover, disc, and inserts.
