Re: listing OBD2 code reader

If eBay is blocking you from listing, you can’t list it.

@ashbrosoffr_62

eBay is blocking it because it cannot be listed.  Your account is a day old & you are already attempting to violate the rules.    Continuing to do so is not advisable as you could be shut down.  Permanently.

Re: listing OBD2 code reader

@ashbrosoffr_62 eBay appears to be cracking down even harder in these categories due to the recent EPA lawsuit filed against them last week.

https://www.justice.gov/opa/pr/justice-department-files-complaint-alleging-environmental-violations-...

The complaint alleges that eBay sold, offered for sale or caused the sale of more than 343,000 aftermarket defeat devices, which defeat motor vehicle emission controls, a violation of the CAA. Aftermarket defeat devices significantly increase pollution emissions – including carbon monoxide, nitrogen oxides, particulate matter and nonmethane hydrocarbons – that harm public health and impede efforts by the EPA, states, Tribes and local agencies to plan for and attain air quality standards.

Even if you think your item doesn't actually fall under the definition of those illegal devices, odds are eBay is not going to take the risk - you simply won't be able to list anything even remotely similar to them on eBay at this time or maybe ever again depending on how this shakes out.

Re: listing OBD2 code reader

Can you name just one thing on eBay that has changed in the past six months?
