laboring on Labor Day

Anyone else working today? I tried to take my son to the doctor (not a medical emergency) and they were closed. The bookstore I frequent was open and we're going out to lunch, I am sure the restautaunt is open.

Anyway, I work pretty much all the time except for 8-11 in the evening ( I do work 11-12 at night if necessary to prepare for shipping the next day). I have a lot of mail to do and my Tuesday self would hate me if I didn't get it done today.

where are you getting a tropical storm? So hot here (Virginia) can always use rain for the plants.

TS Gordon in the Gulf, expected to make landfall sometime Tuesday evening on the MS/AL coast Tuesday evening. I'm in north MS, we're supposed to get some rain (FINALLY!!)  Central and southern MS has had plenty of rain this summer, we're getting mighty dry here.

Re: laboring on Labor Day

Printed labels for 39 items to ship tomorrow, listed a bunch of new stuff.  Next lunch and a walk in the park, followed by packaging for most of the afternoon.  Evening is mine.

List more, sell more. Goodwill that other, uh, stuff.

Feeling sleepy? There's an app for that.

My days are generally either spending a lot of time packing, or getting down to listing. Rarely both. I have a bunch to list at auction but by the end of the day I tend to get tired.  : - /

I usually check my ebay messages for any sales messages and the rest of the day will be spent relaxing or tidying up the yard. Hospitals in my city are always open.☺

Ending some listings showing up as, “Match with eBay catalog product or provide valid product identifier ...” and moving to other sites with less hoops to jump through. Not gonna play that, “Seller does eBay’s work for them” game this go around.

You are welcome to all the rain. Please. Wally World was the usual mix of chaos and resignation here this morning. The news is all hype, but I'll wait to panic for now.

Re: laboring on Labor Day

I haven't had a labor Day off in 46 years - I worked in my retail store for 10 hours, from 10 AM to 8 PM.  Now I'll work on eBay stuff for another couple of hours.
