The question is. I sold an item in Canada. Order has been shipped on the next day after receiving a payment. In 5 days item has arrived in Canada and after this, duration 8 days, is in a Canada Border Services Agency for custom review. This info I see in official Canada Post web site. I contacted with Canadian Post, but they replied, that they had no control over the customs and nobody knows, how long time it can be at the customs. But the problem is that in five days the delivery time will expire. In my listing I have a note that I cannot be held responsible for any delay at the customs in the country of destination which may affect on the estimate delivery time. But we know, that eBay do not interested in all this and after 5 days eBay or Buyer can starting the procedure of refund. Can somebody advise me, what to do in this situation.
Thank you very much in advance

Your tracking to Canada will never be updated...this is why I will never ship to Canada...sorry to say...but you might be out of an item and money
False.
Canada is an eDELCON partner and tracking is door-to-door.
I have never had a USPS package to Canada "not update".
Imagine that...another posting ID new...
Ok I am just a liar and making all this up...

Yes, a posting ID ... that doesn't make my statement untrue.
This is one of my shipments to Canada:

Door to door tracking from Florida to Canada.
On both USPS.com and Canadapost.ca

Wish you all the best

I'm confused.
You stated categorically that Canada will never update the tracking. You did not say it was unlikely or uncommon, you said they will never update tracking.
And then when someone reports a different experience, you jump on them for calling you a liar?
IMHO these boards are indeed less helpful these days, but perhaps not for the reason you think ...

How is giving accurate and true information with proof "having no others to help".
"The likes of me" is the one that just proved your statement that tracking to Canada "will never update" to be false.
Happy Monday Sib ... I've got shipping to do 🙂 I may not be a huge seller, but I do OK. And I ship anywhere in the world 🙂
Thanks for the wishes, though LOL

Chill out, siberian..
I too have several Canadian customers and while one item was stopped by Customs, they all received their items WITH tracking.

If it was sent registered, it is not trackable in Canada.
Any other form with a tracking number is trackable.
Customs delays are now up to over 40 days and nothing any one can do about it except wait.
There are too many drugs coming into Canada by mail so everything slows down to a halt.

Otherwise you'll be getting a CS rep in the Philippines, who may not fully understand your problem, or may simply agree to help you, but actually don't. The American reps are MUCH more helpful, and seem to actually be able to assist in these situations.
Word went out a few weeks ago, that Canadian Customs was really coming down hard on international packages, so that's probably the reason for the slowdown. Just wait until after Thanksgiving!!!

From what Rose posted to me recently, this is no longer the case. Now the calls just go randomly to a call center either in the US or overseas

I have sold to Canada regularly since I started selling here in 2000.
Is it the posting ID that is confusing you?
